CEL is currently developing a 330MW combined Cycle plant at Anwomaso, Kumasi in the Ashanti-Region to increasing the Company’s power generation capacity and also help in stabilizing the Electrical Grid at the middle  and northern  parts of the country.

The project is being undertaken in Phases with the first being a General Electric Frame 9E Gas Turbine with an output of 123MW under ISO conditions, which is currently under construction/installation on going at the project site in Anwomaso, Kumasi.

The second phase will comprise another GE Frame 9E Gas Turbine and a Siemens Steam Plant which will utilize the exhaust from the two Gas Turbines, making the plant more efficient and increasing the overall generation capacity to 330 MW.

The Project is being Executed by Hasman Technical Services, a wholly owned Ghanaian Company, with a number of Local Sub-Contractors, emphasizing the premium CEL places on Local content Development.
